Throughout the years, Santa and Mrs. Claus’ gather with different conventions around the country to talk about the art of being Santa. Lectures include how to be a better mall Santa, magic tricks demonstrations, and more. Like all groups, Santas often have a difference of opinion on who is naughty and nice. While I’m not sure exactly what happened, Claus.net makes reference to the “turmoil of 2010 after Celebrate Santa”.
This year everyone seemed in great spirits. It was a couple days before St. Patrick’s Day, but today everyone was in red. Santas chatted jovially about different traditions and sniped privately about the Santas who didn’t have real beards. They marched down the main street in Gatlinburg and brought the magic of Christmas early.
