*There are a few “smallest churches in the world” and several are smaller than this church, but this is our small church.
Along River Road near White Castle, LA, a sign advertises “Madonna Chapel Smallest Church in the World”. The eight foot square structure was built in 1903 by Anthony Gullo after his oldest son was spared from death after praying to the Virgin Mary. The structure with five chairs holds a mass yearly on August 15th.
